Do I need a referral to start therapy?

Yes, a referral is needed. This way, it is easier for therapists to provide the required services to you and your needs. You may obtain a referral from your primary care provider. 

What documentation do I need to have to start therapy?

Valid form of identification, Insurance cards, Doctors referral

How frequently will I need therapy sessions?

The frequency of your therapy session varies based on your individual treatment plan and specific needs. Typically, patients may need sessions 2-3 times a week.

How long are the sessions?

Each session typically lasts from 45 minutes to an hour depending on your specific needs and individualized treatment plan designed by the therapist. 

What should I wear for my first visit?

It is recommended to wear loose-fitting, comfortable or athletic wear for all your sessions.

What is Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy?

Physical Therapy helps patients recover from injuries, surgeries or conditions that affect their physical abilities. The goal is to improve strength, flexibility, and coordination through exercises, manual therapy, and other techniques.

 

Occupational Therapy focuses on helping individuals perform daily activities. This can include self-care tasks, work-related activities, and leisure pursuits. 

 

PT – “Recently fell and slipped on a construction site. Experiencing lower back pain.”

OT – “Suffered a stroke. Limited mobility on right arm and leg. Difficulty dressing, grooming and bathing.”

How is Rehab on Wheels different from CHHA?

Rehab on Wheels is an outpatient clinic with a team of qualified therapists who are willing to travel to patient’s homes to provide one on one therapy to those who are unable to travel. 

Whereas, Certified Home Health Agency (CHHA) is a professional caregiver responsible for helping individuals maintain their personal health and hygiene in their home setting.
